Online Director Mentor Information Session FAQs

What is the Director Mentor Program?

The Director Mentor Program is funded by the California Early Childhood Mentor Program. The Program selects experienced Directors and provides stipends for them to mentor new Directors or Directors facing new challenges. Mentoring may take place in face-to-face meetings, on the phone, via email, or some combination of all of the above. Payment for mentoring is limited by local budgets. Director Mentors also participate in face-to-face and web-based training and professional development activities with colleagues throughout California.

What Will Happen during this Session?

A senior staff member of the California Early Childhood Mentor Program will provide general information about the Mentor Program and specific information and insights about Director Mentors:

» What is mentoring?

» Who do Director Mentors mentor?

» How do I become a Director Mentor?

» What would be my responsibilities and rewards?

All registrants will receive a copy of the Program Administration Scale (Talan and Bloom, Second Edition, 2011) or the Business Administration Scale (Talan and Bloom, 2009) prior to the Webinar.

Why Should I Participate?
